Ladie's Man...

Okay, so I know y'all are getting sick of the posts without pictures, but this story must be noted!
Brett, Harrison and I went to the local high school football game tonight (Go Wolves!) We live a stone's throw from this high school....it was so fun to go see some of our young friends play football and cheer....
Well, we were sitting with our friend Jason in the very front (which accomodated our stroller) and I said, "Harrison, where's the football team?"
Nothing.
Brett said, "Let's try this....Harrison, where are the cheerleaders?"
I have never seen the boy point so fast DIRECTLY at something! And let me tell you, they are quite a cute frock of girls.
Here comes trouble....

15 Months

Hi everybody,
I went to the Doctor this morning for my 15 month appointment. Time is flying! I really LOVE my pediatrician. She makes me giggle! I only had to get a couple shots this morning, which made me cry a little bit, but I'm okay. Here are my measurements:
Height: 31.5 inches (75%)
Weight: 22 lbs, 6 oz (25%)
Head Circumference 18.5 (50%)
So, it looks like I'm long and lean (still) with a very average head. Everything looks good.
Mom will update soon about the recent trips. We had fun at the beach!
Later,
Harrison

In the meantime, in between time....

Hi everyone,
I have been on Mommy about getting to the blog. Goodness! Well, I wanted y'all to know that she had a great time in Chicago and she did just fine without me! Daddy and I had a great time together. We were something called "bachelors", whatever that means.
Anywho, Mom only had a couple of days at home before we turned around to go to the beach. We are at the beach right now with my Gran and Pa and my aunt, uncle and cousin. Wow, it's SO fun!
Mommy will write an update when we return. Oh, I promise. I will make her, or else she's grounded! I have to put my foot down about something, right? Pictures too.
In the meantime, although these pictures are a few months old, I wanted to prove to you, that it really is me writing these posts!
We'll talk more next week!
Signing off,
Harrison

My Kind of Town....

Chicago is!
Well, I'm off today for my 7th annual Girls Weekend trip! Every year I have been able to get together with three of my best friends from college who also happened to be my roommates. I cannot wait! Although it will be hard to be away from Harrison, I think the time will be much needed and Brett will do a great job taking care of him!
I have only passed through Chi-town on a road trip (and I've been to the airport probably about 10 times), so I'm thrilled to see a new city! Although I have never really been, I feel like I'm going home. Blair, Elizabeth, Adele and I have been through a lot together. We have laughed and cried together and walked through so many things together...College, dating, heartbreak, exams, marriage, pregnancy, death, secrets, cross-country moves, divorce, and so much more....life looks a little more different for each of us every year that passes by, but one thing remains the same...our roommate reunion! This is something I look forward to every year, because I get to be with 3 people whom I don't see everyday anymore, yet they know me inside and out, and we can talk and laugh about anything. I have no doubt there will be so much to catch up on this weekend in the midst of traipsing around the city! I can't wait. Is Chicago ready for us? I think not!
There will definitely be an update and pictures when I get back.
Harrison's plans...to see a Mr. Potato Head Exhibit at a local museum. I'm dying that I'm missing that!!
Oh, come on Hare Bear! Don't cry too hard! I'll be here when you wake up Monday morning!!

My Newest Friend

I just spent 10 days in Colorado (it was for a conference for my parents). I was pretty excited about going because my parents told me I would see mountains and other cool things. I had no idea I would make such a good friend. My new buddy's name is Tanner, and I loved him. I would follow him around all the time. I wish he didn't live so far away in Texas. I cried when I left him. And do you want to know the craziest thing? We have the same nickname! (well, kind of!) Tanner's Mommy is very special to my mommy and the 6 of us had a great time out West. So far, my parents are doing a great job introducing me to my friends. Way to go, Mom and Dad!
More soon,
Harrison

Allow Myself To Introduce...Myself

Hi Everyone,
Well, since my mommy started this blog, we agreed it was only right for me to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Harrison Case Dooley and I was born on May 19, 2008. Yes, I know, I know...some of you cannot believe that I am already 15 months old and my mommy is just now starting this blog. It's quite a bummer that you haven't been able to follow me since birth, because from what I hear, I was quite the cutie! But, alas, we are here now and I would like to tell you a little about my life....
Right now I am sleeping 12 hours at night, and I used to be taking 2 great naps a day. I think I'm gonna give up the morning one though because I really would like to watch Regis and Kelly with mommy. She's trying desperately for me to hang onto this nap, but I am boycotting!
I also love my finger foods. My favorites right now are bananas, waffles, blueberries, grapes, green beans, carrots, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and cheese quesadillas. Oh, and cheerios....LOTS of cheerios!
I have 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom) with 2 more painfully cutting through.
I will tell you in a couple weeks how much I weigh, but mommy thinks I probably weigh 21 or 22 lbs. We shall see. I'm also quite long.
Because my parents travel a lot, I got my passport at 7 weeks old. I have already been on 19 flights to 2 countries and 4 states (I think).
I cannot walk yet, but I crawl everywhere. I like to army crawl and also crawl on all fours. I love to play with doors, the tupperware cabinet and help mom unload the dishes. I do pull up to my feet, but then I don't quite know what to do when I get to my feet. So I cry.
And you'll never guess what I started doing this week?! Dancing! It's fun!
I also love to turn the pages in the books my parents read to me, and I can touch my nose!
Here are a few pictures of me from the past several months. Mommy will try to post more from the past so you can see my progression. It's very nice to talk to all of you. I'll look forward to next time!
Love,
Harrison

Honest to Blog?

I really can't believe that we are finally part of the blogging world! I have been saying forever that I want to start one of these things! Finally, we are here thanks to my fabulous friend Melissa who got things going for me! Here are a few recent pictures of Harrison, mainly from his first haircut last month. They are in reverse order (remember, I'm new at this!) so, you can see his long hair in the bottom picture and work your way up! Enjoy! I'll be back soon!
